Группа Mother Mother начиналась как семейное дело. Гитарист и певец Райан Галдемонд писал песни и хотел исполнять их в местных клубах. Но почувствовав, что не хватает полноты звука для общей гармонии, он пригласил свою сестру Молли. А Молли, в свою очередь, позвала свою подругу Дебру-Джин Крилман, и таким образом группа зазвучала в трио, завоевав огромный успех у публики. В конце 2005 Mother Mother записали одноименный альбом вместе с басистом Джереми Пейдж и барабанщиком Кентоном Лоуэнем. Сам альбом продавался не особо успешно, но отзывы критиков были весьма положительными, что и помогло группе засветиться на таких масштабных канадских фестивалях как Jazz Festival и Pop Montreal Festival. Отличные живые выступления Mother Mother и положительная пресса обратили на себя внимание канадского лейбла Last Gang Records, которые подписали с группой контракт и в 2007 году переиздали первый альбом под названием Touch Up, добавив в него две новые песни и несколько изменив старые. Альбом снова вызвал всплеск восхищенных отзывов критики, но теперь уже подкрепленный и коммерческим успехом. Текущий состав группы: 1. Райан Галдемонд (вокал, гитара) 2.
