However, Ashe is best known for his cover of "Matryoshka", which has over 1.3M views on YouTube as of January 2016. Ashe is a fan and good friend of fellow YouTube singer Miku-tan, who he has also collaborated with in the past. He is also good friends with the illustrator, animator and fellow YouTube singer KL, who frequently illustrates Ashe's cover videos. On June 06, 2012, Ashe removed 40 of his covers and explained that he deleted them because he had wished to become a YouTube partner.[5] As a result, he could only upload original content or content which he was given permission to upload on his channel. On June 13, 2012, however, he announced that he decided not to be a YouTube partner and that he'll continue to cover songs.[6] In addition, Ashe has expressed that he will be working on an album which consists of both original and cover songs.
