Capo: 3 fret

Alternate or different capo fret positions are easily possible by using the transpose
           button below.
The chords will automatically adapt to the new capo position.
Plus 1 on the transpose button means capo fret position one down; minus one
             means capo one fret up.
Using the Transpose button can affect the placement of the chords in the line. Small
movements of the chords on the line are possible (depends on length chord names).
Example: To play this without capo set the transpose button at +3.
Half step down tuning set the transpose button at +4 .

[Intro]
E B7
E A
E F#m A
E B7

[Verse 1]
      E
There is,
        B7
Running east,
E A
 And rails running west,
        E
Running north,
        C#m
Running south,
F#m B7
Like steel rivers to the seas.

[Verse 2]
      E
And I knew,
       B7
When I saw,
E A
That old freight come whistling in,
              E
But I figured out,
         F#m A E B7
From the Railroad to o o own.

[Chorus]
         E
Railroad town, (railroad town),
         B7
Railroad town, (railroad town),
E A
When you let your hair hang down,
              E
It’s long and black,
         C#m
From the soot,
        F#m B7
Of some fifty years or more,
            E
When I come home,
          B7
You’ll be there,
E A
At the crossing of the tracks,
           E
Stand with me,
       F#m A E B7
In the cold winter air . . .

[Verse 3]
          E
Soon look out,
          B7
Soon look out,
E A
Everything I said I meant,
         E
You’re a place,
         C#m F#m B7
Far, far away, but so close to my heart.

[Verse 4]
          E
When I am gone,
       B7
I feel bad,
E A
Staying gone makes me sad, so,
       E
I come back,
      F#m A E B7
To my railroad to o o own.

[Chorus]
         E
Railroad town, (railroad town),
         B7
Railroad town, (railroad town),
E A
When you let your hair hang down,
              E
It’s long and black,
         C#m
From the soot,
        F#m B7
Of some fifty years or more,
            E
When I come home,
          B7
You’ll be there,
E A
At the crossing of the tracks,
           E
Stand with me,
       F#m A E B7
In the cold winter air . . .
