Известность пришла к группе Bright Eyes в 2002 году, после выхода альбома «Lifted or The Story Is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground».
(Mike Mogis).
Первый альбом под называнием «A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997» был выпущен в 1998 году.
