Attempt to capture chords from the official version:

Capo 2 to play along with the official recording or the live version from his full-album live stream:

The track starts at 42:23 in the live stream.
(Note that he switched the order of the choruses in this live version)

2022 Update Notes: I have recently come back to this song and made some changes to the tab. In particular,
I used to have the Em passage in the chorus listed as 3-string picking patterns, but I am now relatively
certain that the 4-string patterns described below are more representative of what he plays on the album
and in live performances.

He uses fingerpicking throughout the song. The chord descriptions listed below should closely match the
strings he picks for those chords in context. In particular, note that he seems to be only playing 4 strings
for the Em*, EmMaj7, G6, Em6. The names I have chosen are my best guess for the full chord names that
would be played if strumming that section of the choruses.

Note that the intro is repeated twice and, although not exact, it should be very close to what he plays.

The picking in the verses generally seems to follow the pattern of this example:
   D Dmaj7 D7 D7
e|-------2---------------2---------|-------2---------------2---------|
B|-------------3---------------2---|-------------1---------------1---|
G|-----2---------------2-----------|-----2---------------2-----------|
D|-0-------0-------0-------0-------|-0-------0-------0-------0-------|
A|---------------------------------|---------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------|---------------------------------|
   1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a 1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a

   G G/F# Em A7
e|---------------------------------|---------------------------------|
B|-------0---------------0---------|-------0---------------2---------|
G|-----0-------0-------0-------0---|-----0-------0-------0-------0---|
D|-----------------0---------------|---------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------|-----------------0-------0-------|
E|-3-------3-------2-------2-------|-0-------0-----------------------|
   1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a 1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a

For the descending Em*, EmMaj7, G6, Em6 passages, he seems to be playing the same pattern for each chord and
choosing either the A or D string (indicated with (x)) as the bass note depending on the chord:

e|-------0-------
B|-------------0-
G|-----0---------
D|(x)-----(x)----
A|(x)-----(x)----
E|---------------
   1 e + a 2 e +

In the spots in the chorus indicated with D*, he seems to be playing the Dsus2 D transition from the intro:
   Dsus2 D
e|-------0h2------
B|-----------3----
G|-----2-------2--
D|-0--------------
A|----------------
E|----------------
   1 e + a 2 e +

[Verse 1]
   D Dmaj7
Oh London in the Spring
D7 D7 G
Makes me feel so lucky I'm alive
         G/F#
I've got love to give
Em A7
I've got my whole life to live
D Dmaj7
Walkin' through the park
D7 D7 G
Sunshine pours like honey through the trees
      G/F# Em A7
I believe I'm comin' home

[Chorus 1]
      Em* EmMaj7
Well some people tell me
      G6 Em6
I've better things to do
            D*
And more productive ways
     C G C/G G
That I could spend my time
        Em* EmMaj7
But I'm not sure I agree
   G6 Em6
It often seems to me we
           D* C G C/G G
Spend our lives talkin' foolish, runnin' blind
           Em7 Em7 A7 A7sus2 A7
And we forget how to enjoy the simple things
      Em A7 Dsus2
Like walkin' through London in the Spring

[Instrumental]
      D Dmaj7 D7 D7sus4 D7 D7sus2
G5 G G5 G/F# Em7 A7

[Verse 2]
      D Dmaj7
Whoa, London in the Spring
D7 D7
See St. Paul's Cathedral like
    G G/F#
(A) man of high society
Em A7
Calmly sittin' quietly
         D Dmaj7
And you watch the river Thames
D7 D7
Weaving like a needle through the town
G G/F# Em A7
All the way down to the sea

[Chorus 2]
      Em* EmMaj7
Well some people tell me
     G6 Em6
The best is far behind us
      D* C G C/G G
It's hopeless to be hopeful, anymore
        Em* EmMaj7
But I'm not sure I agree
      G6 Em6
I am hoping love will find us
     D* C G C/G G
And gently guide our vessel to the shore
               Em7 Em7 A7 A7sus2 A7
Where there'll be no need for beggers or kings
    Em A7 Dsus2
All equal to share London in the Spring
