Весьма красочная палитра очень талантливых музыкантов из Атланты. Коллектив был образован в 2004 году.
Первым и инициирующим участником группы явился Энди Хулл (вокал и первая гитара). С последнего класса школы Энди стремился посвящать творчеству как можно больше времени и сил, создавая набросочный материал для последующего рождения Манчестера. После Энди в группе появились Джереми и Джонатан. Манчестер приобретал очертания довольно интересного трио, однако формирование творческого коллектива на этом не остановилось. Спустя небольшой отрезок времени, в группу попали ещё два музыканта - Крис и Роберт. На этом создание шедеврального творческого союза можно считать законченным и реальным на данный момент.
Музыканты сочетаются друг с другом на уровне, более высоком, чем просто музыкальный. Связь эмоциями и переживаниями, текстами и музыкой. Это чувствуется в каждой малейшей частичке их творчества.
Образовавшийся квинтет успешно дебютировал в 2006 году со своим восхитительным альбомом «I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child». До этого релиза были выпущены три EP-шки («Twelve Months Is A Waste Of Time», «You Brainstorm, I Brainstorm. But Brilliance Needs A Good Editor», «Nobody Sings Anymore»), однако настоящую известность ребятам принёс именно полноценный и доработанный альбом 2006го года.
В этом году увидел свет второй альбом группы «Mean Everything To Nothing».
Когда слушаешь Manchester Orchestra, отвлекаешься от бытовой и рутинной жизни. Как говорил сам Энди Хулл:«Мы поём об интимных чувствах».
Так оно и звучит. Глубоко, пронизывающе и завораживающе. Слишком красиво, слишком очаровывающе, слишком близко каждому из нас.
